Family Updates

It's been a busy, busy year so far! In January alone, we counted 12 visits to some sort of doctor, hospital, surgery, etc. Whoa. Hannah got tubes and Benjamin got a helmet to round out his noggin. One week later, Hannah got a slight pneumonia and Benjamin got an ear infection. The fun continues....

BUT I also got a diagnosis for my biggest health issue! After 5/6mo of testing, I was diagnosed with BPPV. You can read my recent post on that for details... I had my first treatment this morning. Overall, not complicated. I'm a bit nauseous/lightheaded with a potential headache in the works...otherwise, okay. By God's grace, I have lots of wonderful friends/family helping us through it.

Benjamin had his 9mo well check the other day. He's just under 50th percentile for height (whoo hoo!) but just under 10th percentile for weight (despite the fact he eats all the time!). He's average with progress. Doc is not concerned that he's not crawling yet (cause he rolls all over the place). Hannah was not crawling at this age yet either. Overall, he appears to be in good health so that's a praise! The "helmet doctor," as we call him, said he may only have to wear the helmet for another 5 weeks. That's exciting. We'll see. It's really not that bad. Just a bit bulky and stinky (from where his head sweats). And it's a little harder to cuddle.... :)

Hannah is doing well. She loves to sing now and is enjoying learning new songs. She's very helpful and does a great job picking up when I ask her too. She's definitely a girl (and a child of mine) in that she can cry at the drop of a hat. That takes a bit of grace on my part for sure. She makes me laugh all during the day though so it brings sunshine into our home.

James is still working hard at Meijer. Nothing new and exciting to write about there. But we're grateful for the job. He continues to serve part-time as a corporate chaplain and he's now an official non-staff pastor at our church.

God is good and we are grateful! That's enough of an update for now. New videos coming tomorrow. New pictures on our flickr account: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jamesandterra/

Take care!
Terra
